Self Love tips to fall in love with yourself

Sometimes the hardest person to love is none other than ourselves.

If you are struggling with loving who you are here are some tips that I have that will help you fall in love with who you are.

  1. Owning That You Are Not Perfect

The reason why we hate ourselves at times is that we try to be perfect, we have this perfect image of who we want to be and when we fail to meet those standards we begin to feel like a failure.

We are not the absolute ideal portray of who we wish to be and the great thing is no one else is.
If we are everything we wish we were, there would be no search for progress.

Forgive yourself for being a little clumsy at times, and know that with time you will do better.

2.  What You Love About Yourself

Take out a notebook and think of all the reasons you love yourself.
If you cannot think of any ask a loved one or friends.

It's so easy to see what is bad or wrong in us that we fail to see the points that are great about us.
This is a helpful practice to remind yourself that you indeed do have quite a whole lot of delightful parts.

3. What You Do Not Like About Yourself

Now think of all the reasons you do not like about yourself and note them down.
After you are done read it out and wonder would you hate someone if they had those traits

You will be surprised at how hard you are on yourself.

And for those traits, you would hate someone to have them too tell yourself that it's okay you have them and you will work on it.

4.The Things You Love To Do

What are the things that you love to do?
What makes you happy when you do them?
When was the last time you did them?

5.The Things You Wish To Do

We all have a list of things we wish we could do and for me, it was starting this blog. Maybe for you, it is going on that trip you always wanted to or maybe it was joining that dance class.

We all have desires and unfulfilled wishes, now is the time to do them.

6. Loving Others

Sometimes practising self-love is also loving those around you, take that love you have for others on you.
Think of the people that you love, even when they hurt you, even when they do you wrong at times you continue loving them unconditionally and you too deserve that love for you.
